Kavita Panke is a strategic and results-driven leader with over 25 years of pharmaceutical and clinical-stage biotech commercial experience spanning brand/TA senior management, launch planning and execution, global pipeline development, market access, sales and sales management, and large team leadership with deep expertise in CNS (including psychiatry, neurology, neuropathic pain, and rare neuro-immunology). Kavita has a unique passion and knack for fusing science and storytelling with a deep mission to bring innovative therapies to patients with the highest unmet need.
Kavita is Founder and CEO of BrainSPARK LLC, a healthcare strategy consulting firm and has been working with Noema Pharma, a clinical stage neuroscience biotech, in a consulting role as Head of Business Strategy and Commercial Development. Reporting to the CEO, Kavita leads the corporate strategy, vision and narrative, and commercial assessments & portfolio development for Noema. Prior to this role, Kavita spent nine years at Johnson & Johnson, where she led the commercial disease area and asset strategy for the global neurology portfolio. Under Kavita’s leadership, the portfolio grew from a singular focus on Alzheimer’s Disease to expansion into MS, rare neuromuscular disease (gMG, CIDP), PD and ALS through portfolio acceleration and strategic acquisitions. Prior to this role, Kavita led the US launch of SPRAVATO (esketamine nasal spray) in treatment resistant depression and MDD with acute suicidal ideation. SPRAVATO was a novel treatment approach in psychiatry, which required significant market development and a new psychiatric care model; it is now considered a blockbuster brand (>1B in sales) and one of the fastest growing products in J&J’s portfolio. Earlier in her career, Kavita held roles of expanding leadership in brand marketing, pipeline strategy, sales and sales management, as well as market access and pricing across multiple therapeutic areas at large and mid-size pharma companies.
Kavita resides in Princeton, NJ and enjoys many pursuits outside of work, including being a mom to Riya (16), Devin (12) and a Cavachon puppy Penny. Kavita is an avid and local competitive runner, and is Founder & Head Coach of Monty Milers Run Club, an organization whose goal is to empower youth through movement, nature, and connection. Kavita also enjoys cycling, hiking, and traveling with her family.
